Clare Toeniskoetter | 2013 Intern

Producer at Marketplace’s New York City bureau

A graduate of the University of Michigan with degrees in sociocultural anthropology and French, Clare began her internship as a part-time student finishing her thesis at U-M and continued after graduation.

Clare proudly reports, “Interning at Michigan Radio launched my career in public radio.  I would not be working in the field now if I did not get the chance to intern in Ann Arbor.  I got hands-on production experience and met a wonderful network of accomplished colleagues and now lifelong friends.”

Today, Clare creates two Marketplace podcasts: Codebreaker, which explores the technology that consume us every day, and Actuality, which focuses on the inner-workings of the new global economy.

This Michigan native has also worked with Radiolab, On the Media, and Slate’s The Gist.
