Larry Jonas - Director of Development

larry_175Larry has been with Michigan Radio since 2000, and came to us after spending three years at the University of Michigan's Development Communications office.

Formerly a market research analyst and English teacher, fundraising for public broadcasting has been the career he has enjoyed the most.  In fact, during his high school and college years, he was a frequent volunteer for local PBS auctions, and so it seems he was destined to work at the station.

When he's not overseeing the fundraising activities, the native Long Islander enjoys travel, home improvement, and photography. He is also a strong advocate for animal rights.

Ellen Rinck Han – Grants Manager

Ellen is a Michigan native and earned both her Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from Michigan State University.

Jackie Stickney – Sustaining Gifts/Contributor Interaction

jackie

Jackie came to Michigan Radio as a temporary employee in May 2009. Although her background is not in radio, she finds it a challenge and a great adventure. She spent a number of years learning the world of finance and economics and is no stranger to the not-for-profit sector.

Jackie runs our successful sustaining membership program and also handles the majority of the customer service calls and emails that come into the station. When not at work, she spends her time sailing or kayaking, reading, volunteering at Starry Skies Equine Rescue and Sanctuary, taking class or pursuing her other passions: gardening (she’s a Master Gardener) and “playing with food”.

Alison Warren – Associate Director of Development

175Alison pro pictureAlison came to Michigan Radio in June 2014 and enjoys building support of the station through donor stewardship. A Michigan native, Alison graduated from Earlham College with a bachelor degree in Classical Studies and received her master’s in Fine and Decorative Arts from University of Manchester.

She is by no means a stranger to Michigan Radio. She continued to listen to her favorite NPR station throughout her time in Indiana as well during her time in England.

When not at Michigan Radio you can find her in a yoga studio or spending time with her husband and family.
